Thomas Dworzak

Thomas Dworzak (* 1972 in Kötzting ) is a German photographer. Since 2004 he has been a full member of the Magnum Photos agency .

Life

Dworzak grew up in Cham in the Bavarian Forest . His work began in 1991 as a freelance photographer in Eastern Europe. At first he worked more for himself than with the idea of ​​working for large agencies. The East became his specialty in the further course. Three years after starting his work as a freelance photographer, he moved to Tbilisi , Georgia . From there he traveled to the entire Caucasus and in particular to Chechnya . He has been a photographer for Magnum since 2000.

Exhibitions

Thomas Dworzak has had numerous exhibitions (also with colleagues) in well-known museums, for example from February 8 to May 12, 2008 in the Stedelijk Museum or in the California Museum of Photography in 2006.
