Thomas Erskine, 2nd Lord Erskine

Thomas Erskine, 2nd Lord Erskine (* uncertain: around 1420; † before 1493 ), was a Scottish nobleman .

Life

He was the son and heir of Robert Erskine, 1st Lord Erskine from his marriage to Lady Elizabeth Lindsay.

Thomas Erskine was born probably around 1420. With the death of his father between September 7, 1451 and November 6, 1452 he took over the title of 2nd Lord Erskine . De jure he was entitled to the title of 14th Earl of Mar (first award), but he never held it during his lifetime. This title was only confirmed posthumously in a document on June 23, 1565.

He was knighted before January 1441 and in 1483 held the office of Sheriff of Stirling .
