Thomas Fatzinek (* 1965 in Linz ) is an Austrian comic artist and author and illustrator.

Career

Thomas Fatzinek dropped out of school at the age of 15 and began an apprenticeship as a lithographer. He then moved to Vienna and worked in numerous jobs, including as a senior worker, prisoner carer, warehouse worker, screen printer, plumber, contract worker, scanner operator, postman and train driver at Schönbrunn Zoo. On the side he always worked as an illustrator for various newspapers, such as Augustin , Lin_c, Um: druck, Kriminaljournal, Kriminaljournal-Kochbuch, Die Zukunft, and studied at the Vienna Art School . In 2004 he completed his studies with the diploma examination. Since then he has been working as a political comic artist and teaching at the Vienna Art School.

Awards

2016: Elfriede Grünberg Prize for services in the fight against National Socialism .
