Thomas Futterknecht

Thomas Futterknecht (born December 24, 1962 ) is a former Austrian athlete .

Futterknecht, who started for the UNION St. Pölten , was multiple Austrian champion in the 400-meter run and the 400-meter hurdles .

On August 30, 1985 he set up a personal best in Kobe with 49.33 s over the distance of 400 meter hurdles. At the same time, this time meant an Austrian record, which is still valid today.

Futterknecht also took part in international competitions, including a. the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and the 1987 World Athletics Championships in Rome.

With a height of 1.77 m, he had a competition weight of 68 kg.

In 1988 he ended his sporting career to concentrate on his family.
