Thomas Gerber (politician)

Thomas Gerber (born January 10, 1967 ; resident in Langnau im Emmental ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Thomas Gerber completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and trained to become a qualified carpenter and master craftsman. He is co-owner and manager of the Amarena AG joinery in Wohlen . Gerber is married and lives in Hinterkappelen .

politics

Thomas Gerber is involved in the community politics of Wohlen. He was a member of the energy commission and vice-president of the building commission and is a member of the department commission for municipal operations. In 2017, Gerber replaced Maria Esther Iannino Gerber, who had resigned, to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . He was re-elected in 2018 and took a seat on the security commission.

Gerber is President of the Greens Wohlen and delegate at the cantonal assembly of delegates of the Greens. He is a board member of the cantonal examination commission for commercial professions and on the board of the Bern Technical School.
