Thomas Geyer (born March 6, 1991 in Ehingen ) is a German soccer player .
Career
Geyer played from 1995 for Bambini teams of SG Dettingen . In February 2000 he moved to SSV Ulm 1846 after a trial training session . For the 2007/08 season Geyer joined the U-17 of VfB Stuttgart . In August 2008 he was accepted into the VfB Football Academy. In the fall of 2008, Geyer suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament shortly after he was invited to a course for the German U-18 national team . He made his comeback in the U-19 Bundesliga in June 2009 .
Geyer made his professional debut on April 30, 2010 on the 37th matchday of the 2009/10 season for the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the 3rd professional league against SpVgg Unterhaching .
For the 2014/15 season he moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden . After his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2016, he moved to VfR Aalen . There he became vice-captain behind Daniel Bernhardt in the 2018/19 season . When the Aalen team were relegated to the Regionalliga Südwest in summer 2019 , he left the club and instead returned to the Regionalliga competitor SSV Ulm 1846 , where he had already played in his youth.
