Thomas Goschke

Thomas Goschke (born April 14, 1958 in Dortmund ) is Professor of General Psychology and Dean of the Faculty of Psychology at the Technical University of Dresden . He is considered an important representative of volitional psychology .

Life

Goschke studied psychology and philosophy at the University of Bochum from 1979 to 1987 . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Osnabrück until 1993 , where he received his doctorate in 1992 . There he worked as a research assistant until 1999 and then as a senior assistant for a year. Goschke completed his habilitation in 1999 in psychology.

From 2000 to 2002 he was a visiting scientist in the Cognition & Action department at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research in Munich . In April 2002 he was appointed to the professorship for general psychology at the TU Dresden.
