Thomas Grosser

Thomas Grosser (born April 10, 1965 ; † February 12, 2008 in Unterhaching ) was a German football player .

Grosser came to SpVgg Unterhaching in 1983 , previously he played in the youth departments of FC Bayern Munich and TSV Forstenried . With Unterhaching, the midfielder was champion of the Bavarian League in 1988 and 1989 . In the second attempt, he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1989 with the club and completed 26 games (one goal) for his club in the 1989/90 season . After his active career, he was captain of senior B for ten years and was also involved as a youth coach.

Grosser died during indoor training. He suddenly collapsed and could not be resuscitated. He left behind his wife and three children. Grosser was the son of the former Unterhaching trainer and then Vice-President Peter Grosser , the two-time national player and captain of the 1966 championship team of TSV 1860 Munich . His brother Peter died in 1979 at the age of 19 as a result of a traffic accident.
