Thomas Körber (born August 5, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
The defender Thomas Körber began his career at SVA Gütersloh in the Association League Westphalia . In the summer of 1976 he moved to the second division club SC Herford . He celebrated his second division debut on August 14, 1976 in a 3-1 win against SG Wattenscheid 09 . Two years later, Körber and his team were relegated to the Oberliga Westfalen and achieved the championship and direct promotion in 1979. However, Körber moved to the upper division FC Gütersloh . For the Herford, he completed 35 second division games and scored one goal.
