Trammershof is part of the municipality of the Upper Franconian town of Seßlach in the Coburg district .

geography

The hamlet is located about 15 kilometers west of Coburg on the Alster , a right tributary of the Itz . The district road CO 6 from Rothenberg to Setzelsdorf leads through the village. The former manorial court has grown together with Heilgersdorf .

history

The first documentary mention was in 1385, when Apel von Schaumberg sued Dietrich Schott for goods in "Tramershof". In 1401 Karl von Lichtenstein received the tithe in "Tramershofe". The place name probably goes back to the old Slavic personal name Dragomer.

Until the end of the 18th century, the lords of Lichtenstein who were free from the empire ruled the estate. They were followed by those of Bibra . In the 1830s the Count von Rotenhan became the owner of the estate. 1750 was to Trammershof an inn with brewing rights . In 1840 eight families lived in eight houses on the estate with 238 acres of land. According to the municipal edict of 1818, Trammershof was merged with Heilgersdorf, Setzelsdorf , Heinersdorf and Wiesen to form the municipality of Heilgersdorf. In 1862 the rural community Heilgersdorf was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Ebern .

In 1871 Trammershof had 28 residents and five houses with 18 buildings. The responsible Protestant parish and the school were located in Heilgersdorf, 0.5 kilometers away. In 1900 the rural community of Heilgersdorf with its five towns covered an area of 945.82 hectares, 500 inhabitants, 467 of whom were Protestant, and 89 residential buildings. In Trammershof, 13 people lived in three residential buildings. In 1925 the hamlet, which belonged to the district of the Catholic parish of Seßlach, had 21 residents and three residential buildings and in 1950 26 residents. In 1970 the place had 40 inhabitants.

On July 1, 1972, the Lower Franconian district of Ebern was dissolved. Since then, Trammershof has belonged to the Coburg district . In the course of the Bavarian regional reform , Heilgersdorf lost its independence as a municipality on May 1, 1978. Trammershof became part of the municipality of Seßlach.
