Thomas Keindorf (born March 3, 1958 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and chimney sweep .

Keindorf attended the Polytechnische Oberschule Diesterweg and then did a three-year vocational training with high school diploma as a machine and system fitter in the former VEB Pumpenwerke Halle. He then studied nautical science and did an 18-month military service.

In 1980 Keindorf retrained and trained as a chimney sweep. He then studied engineering education in Karl-Marx-Stadt , today's Chemnitz , and was a vocational school teacher at the GDR chimney sweep school in Eilenburg . In 1985 he became a journeyman in a company in Halle, where in 1987 he took over a sweeping district in the south of the city, in which he is still an independent district chimney sweep.

For more than a decade Keindorf was guild master of the chimney sweep in Halle and in 2002 he became the state guild master of the chimney sweep trade in Saxony-Anhalt . Since 2003 he has been President of the Halle (Saale) Chamber of Crafts and since 2008 President of the Saxony-Anhalt Crafts Conference. He is a member of the executive committee of the Central Association of German Crafts and is chairman of the vocational training committee of the German Chamber of Crafts .

In the state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 2011 , Keindorf ran as a direct candidate in the state constituency of Halle IV . He won the direct mandate and thus entered the state parliament .
