Career

Kindlimann made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 21, 1986 in Chamonix . With 12th place on the normal hill, he was able to win his first four World Cup points. The other jumps of the season he remained unsuccessful and pointless, so that at the end of the 1986/87 season he finished 70th in the overall World Cup ranking. In the 1987/88 and 1988/89 seasons he only took part in a few competitions in the Four Hills Tournament, but remained without any top placements. It was not until the 1989/90 season that he was able to increase his performance again and reached the season opener competition in Thunder Bay with 16th place, just one place behind the points. The following day he was able to win two World Cup points in 14th place. However, it was the last World Cup points won in his career. He finished the season in 56th place in the overall World Cup ranking. At the ski flying world championship in 1990 in Vikersund , Kindlimann flew to 49th place. After further World Cup competitions with placements at the end of the starting field, Kindlimann jumped his last World Cup competition in Engelberg on January 19, 1992 and then ended his active ski jumping career.

After his active ski jumping career, Kindlimann turned his hobby paragliding into a profession and since then has run his own flight school in Gibswil together with his wife Sara . Since 2010 he has also been a member of the Zurich Oberland Regional Ski Jumping Center.
