Life

Koblenzer studied law and economics at the universities in Osnabrück and Münster ; He also completed an additional linguistic course at the University of Siegen . From 1994 to 1996 he was a trainee lawyer at the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court . He is a member of the Berlin Institute for Finance and Taxes (ifst) and sits on the board of directors of the Zurich company NR SWISS AG. At the same time he is a trainee lawyer. His main focus is on tax and corporate law advice to wealthy people, family offices and medium-sized companies. He also specializes in the area of ​​tax review law and represents tax mandates before the Federal Fiscal Court and the Federal Constitutional Court .

Cum-ex scandal

Koblenzer has been on trial again and again in connection with the Cum-Ex scandal since 2016. In March 2018 he was sentenced by the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court to pay around 15 million euros in damages to KT Wealth Creation GmbH (Az. 9 U 179/16). At the end of August 2019, he filed a complaint against the judgment with the Federal Constitutional Court, which was rejected “without justification”. Koblenzer then turned to the European Court of Human Rights .
