Thomas Kottas ( Greek Θωμάς Κώττας , born April 27, 1996 in Ptolemaida ) is a Greek basketball player who is 2.08 m tall and is used in the center position.

Career

At club level

Kottas joined the PAOK Saloniki youth team in 2011 at the age of 15 . For the 2013/14 season he made his debut for the men's team in the Basket League and in the ULEB Eurocup . The following summer, on August 12, 2014, he signed his first professional contract for three years and made 15 appearances in the domestic league in the 2014/15 season and another eight in the Eurocup . His first double-digit points result for the men's team of the PAOK, he achieved in the 2015/16 season , when on January 9, 2016, the thirteenth matchday of the season, in the game against EK Kavalas , with an operating time of 18.07 minutes, on 15 Points came.

In the summer of 2016 he was released from PAOK and a few weeks later he signed a two-year contract with the Rethymno Cretan Kings . After fulfilling this, Kottas switched to AE Holargos in summer 2018 . Since Holargos merged with Kolossos Rhodes the following summer , the center switched to league rivals Ionikos Nikeas .

National team

Kottas went through all of Greece's youth national teams. He was part of the Greek selection at the U-16 European Championship in 2012. It was in the squad for the U-18 European Championship in 2013 and 2014. It ran at the U-20 European Championship in 2015. He has not yet been nominated for the senior squad .
