Thomas Kreuzmann (born June 10, 1958 in Hamburg ) is a teacher and a Hamburg politician for the CDU .

Life and politics

Thomas Kreuzmann is single and has an adult son.

He graduated from high school in 1978 and was then a regular soldier. He studied from 1982 to 1988 and was a trainee lawyer from 1988 to 1990. Since 1990 he has been a teacher in school.

Through his parents, Kreuzmann was confronted with politics at an early age in the family and today sits with them on the board of the CDU local association Bramfeld / Steilshoop , of which he is chairman. His areas of specialization in political work are household and finance, technology and administrative modernization, sport, the environment, social policy, education and school policy.

From March 2008 to 2020, Kreuzmann was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . He was re-elected to number one on the CDU list in the Bramfeld-Farmsen-Berne constituency on February 20, 2011 and February 15, 2015. In the citizenry, he was a member of the budget committee, the committees for information and communication technology and administrative modernization (specialist spokesman), for assets and public companies, for auditing the budget, the sports committee (specialist spokesman, chairman until 2015) and the environmental committee (specialist spokesman for ecological transport ).

From March 2015, Kreuzmann was a member of the Presidium of the Hamburg Parliament.
