Thomas Licher

Thomas Licher (born July 21, 1963 in Bergheim ) is a German journalist .

Life

Licher graduated from the University of Cologne in 1988 with a degree in economics with an optional subject in banking. During his studies he worked as a freelancer for the Kölnische Rundschau , completed a traineeship at Markt intern Verlag Düsseldorf and worked in the main journalism department of the Institute of German Economy . From 1988 to 1989 he was assistant to the management team at Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft in Bonn and from 1989 to 1990 head of Trendletter. From 1990 to 1992 he was editor of the business magazine impulse for the real estate and financing sectors. In 1992 he moved to the business magazine Capital , where he headed the real estate department until 1996, the financial investments department from 1996 to 1998 and the tax and law department from 1998 to 2000. At the beginning of 2000 he became deputy editor-in-chief of impulse magazine and was editor-in-chief there from September 2000 to February 2003. Since March 2003, Licher has been editor-in-chief at G + J Corporate Editors in Hamburg (today Territory ) of the publishing house Gruner + Jahr and responsible for the compass magazine, which is produced there on behalf of comdirect bank AG .

Thomas Licher has been the owner of LicherKommunikation in Cologne since March 2003.

Since September 2004 he has been the spokesman for the Forum Am Butzweilerhof in Cologne. This association of entrepreneurs made it possible in 2009/2010 to extend the KVB tram line 5 to the area around Cologne's first commercial airport, Butzweilerhof, through private donations totaling 5 million euros.
