Thomas Müry

Thomas Müry (born June 21, 1945 ) is a Swiss Protestant Reformed pastor and politician ( LDP ).

Life

Thomas Müry graduated from the Humanist Gymnasium in Basel and graduated from the University of Basel with a degree in physical education in 1966 . He then worked as a gym teacher and studied in parallel theology .

From 1971 to 1976 he was pastor of the Swiss community in the Argentine province of Misiones . From 1977 to 2010 he was pastor of Basel John's Church . In the military, Thomas Müry was first grenadier sergeant and then field preacher captain in Basel's 22nd Infantry Regiment.

Müry has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt since 2011, where he is a member of the Environment and Transport Commission and the Pardon Commission.
