Thomas Obi

Thomas Obi (* 1932 ) is a former Nigerian sprinter and hurdler .

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run.

In 1958 he won silver at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff with the Nigerian 4-by-110-yard relay. Over 100 yards he reached the quarterfinals and over 120 yards hurdles the semifinals.

He set his personal best over 100 yards of 9.5 s on March 7, 1959 in Enugu .
