Thomas Pfeffer (born September 3, 1980 in Zell am See ) is an Austrian ice hockey defender who has been playing for UEC Lienz in the Carinthian Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

Pfeffer began his career in the junior team of EK Zell am See , where he played in the 2nd division for four seasons before he was promoted to Zell. After two more seasons, Pfeffer first moved to EHC Black Wings Linz and another two years later to the Vienna Capitals . There he stayed only one season, for the 2005/06 season he then moved to EC VSV . In August 2010 he moved back to his home club in Zell am See. Since the 2012/13 season he has been playing in the CHL at UEC Lienz .

In the course of his career, Thomas Pfeffer has played 501 Bundesliga games so far. He competed four times with the Austrian national team in a world championship, the highlight of which was the A-World Championship in Russia in 2007 .
