Thomas Rhodin (born April 8, 1971 in Karlstad ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who was active during his active career for Färjestad BK in the Elitserien , among others .

Career

Rodin began his career in 1989 in the Swedish Elitserien at Färjestad BK. He played there until 1997 and was a regular player during this time. In 1993 and 1994 he won the Spengler Cup with the Swedes . The 1996/97 season was his last and at the same time best in the jersey of Färjestad BK. In a total of 64 league games, the defender was able to achieve 38 scorer points. He had a major share in the championship title he won with his club in the same season. In the summer of 1997 he signed a contract with the Eisbären Berlin from the German Ice Hockey League . With the polar bears he reached third place in the European Hockey League in 1999 . Rodin was on the ice for three seasons for Berlin and completed 174 DEL games in which he was able to score 99 times.

He then moved to the Swiss National League A for the 2003/04 season , where he was consequently active for three seasons for HC Friborg-Gottéron . In 2005 he returned to Färjestad BK in his Swedish homeland. In 2002 , 2006 and Elitserien 2008/09 he won the championship with the club. The defender spent the 2009/10 season at Leksands IF in HockeyAllsvenskan before ending his career.
