Thomas Schabbach
Thomas Schabbach (* 1966 ) is a German engineering scientist and university professor at Nordhausen University .
Career
Schabbach studied process engineering at the Bingen University of Applied Sciences from 1986 to 1990 , with a focus on environmental technology . He then studied mechanical engineering at the Ruhr University in Bochum from 1991 to 1994 . He then worked as a doctoral student and research assistant at the Institute of Thermal Engineering of the University of Kassel , where he in 1998 with a thesis on physical-stochastic model to simulate climate influenced solar radiation to Dr.-Ing. PhD. After finishing his work as a research assistant, in 1999 he took a position in the research and development department of a solar thermal company , which he held until 2006. This year he was appointed professor for thermal energy systems at the Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences . Today he is the Dean of Studies for the Renewable Energy Technology course .
