Career

Steinherr played for FC Stätzling until 2004 and then went to FC Augsburg . Until 2012 he played in the youth teams. In June 2012, he played for the first time for the second team of FCA in the promotion round to Regionalliga Bayern . Steinherr was also in their squad in the 2012/13 season. In the first half of the season Steinherr was a regular player, but in the second half of the season he was rarely used due to an injury. For the 2013/14 season Steinherr moved to the 3rd division for SpVgg Unterhaching , where he signed a two-year contract. There he received a relatively large amount of time and played 32 third division games over the entire season, 19 of them from the start; in them he scored two goals and five assists.

In the summer of 2014 he moved to the second division club VfR Aalen . Since he could not assert himself there, he rejoined the Unterhaching game association after a year and stayed there until the summer of 2018. For the 2018/19 season Steinherr moved to FC 08 Homburg .

At the end of August 2020, Steinherr moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena and signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
