Thomas Stritter (born April 27, 1956 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) is a German lawyer and former politician ( SPD ).

Life

Stritter attended the Ingelheim elementary school from 1964 to 1967 and the Sebastian-Münster-Gymnasium Ingelheim from 1967 to 1976 , where he passed the Abitur. Between 1977 and 1979 he did his community service as a paramedic with the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund in Gustavsburg .

In 1979 he began studying law at the University of Mainz , graduating with the first state examination in 1985 and the second state examination in 1988. 1985–1988 he was a trainee lawyer and in 1988 he was admitted to the bar and opened his office in Ingelheim. Between 1988 and 1991 he worked as a consultant at the Bildungswerk der Rheinland-Pfälzische Wirtschaft e. V. Since 1999 he has been an arbitrator and arbitrator for construction disputes. In 2002 he was admitted to the bar at the Koblenz Higher Regional Court and since 2006 he has been a specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law . Since 2006 he has also been a permanent employee of the “IBR Immobilien-Baucht” magazine.

In 1976 he joined the SPD. From 1976 to 1983 he was chairman of Jusos Ingelheim. From 1987 to 1991 he was chairman of the SPD local association Ingelheim, from 1990 a member of the board of the SPD sub-district of Mainz-Bingen and a member of the board of the SPD district of Rheinhessen. From 1979 to 1999 and from 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the Ingelheim city council and 1984–1992 deputy chairman and 1992–1998 chairman of the SPD city council group Ingelheim.

In 1991 he was elected to the twelfth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate for the constituency of Ingelheim am Rhein , to which he belonged for an electoral term until 1996. In the state parliament he was deputy chairman of the investigation committee “Infected Blood”, member of the committee for European issues, the committee for women's issues, petitions committee, legal committee, election review committee and the inquiry committee “design of municipal taxes”.

In addition, from 1989 to 1998 he was a member of the supervisory board of Rheinhessische Energie- und Wasserversorgungs-GmbH Ingelheim am Rhein, 1990–1998 and 2012–2013 on the supervisory board of the housing company Ingelheim am Rhein GmbH, on the board of the Europa-Union Ingelheim, on the supervisory board of SEGI GmbH and member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt.
