Thomas Vejlgaard

Thomas Vejlgaard (born September 18, 1972 ) is a former Danish football referee and current management consultant .

Career

Vejlgaard was active as a referee from 1988. He was first used on August 25, 2002 in the Superligaen as a referee when he whistled the game between AB Copenhagen and Aarhus GF on the 5th match day of the 2002/03 season . In total, he led 118 games in the Danish first division, the last on November 29, 2010 between AC Horsens and Aalborg BK .

On September 2, 2006 Vejlgaard whistled his first of 54 international games when he led the game between Malta and Bosnia-Herzegovina in qualifying for the 2008 European Championship finals .

In March 2011, at the age of 38, Vejlgaard resigned as an arbitrator in order to pursue his career as a management consultant . He has been with Alfa Laval 's sales department since May 2013 .
