The Rosenberg is the stable of a former tower hill castle (Motte) in the Putzar district of the Boldekow municipality in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
investment
Putzar , located north of the moat in Western Pomerania , had been a border town to the then Brandenburg rule of Stargard since the first half of the 13th century , which came to Mecklenburg at the turn of the 14th century . The Putzar tower hill is not dated, most of these fortifications were built in the Pomeranian area in the 13th and 14th centuries by immigrant German nobles. The first documentary mention of a fortification under construction, together with the location in 1306, is more likely to be associated with a previous building of Putzar Castle .
The tower hill is located on the south-eastern border of the landscape park from Putzar Castle to the adjacent pasture land . The hill is flat and about 3 meters high. A 10 meter long ramp leads up from the west. The plateau has an area of 7 meters by 6 meters.
A recess or niche was later created on the north side of the hill to accommodate a seat.
The tower hill was examined superficially in 1966, measured and entered in the list of land monuments under No. 1 of the Putzar district.
