Thomas Wachweger

Thomas Wachweger (born October 11, 1943 in Breslau ; † February 26, 2015 ) was a German artist.

Wachweger grew up in Hamburg, Hanover and New York. From 1963 to 1970 he studied at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . He has been working with Ina Barfuss since 1969 . The two often used the technique of “painting in pairs”, in which the artists worked together on the same work. He also worked with Martin Kippenberger in the same way.

In 1984 he was represented at the exhibition From Here - Two Months of New German Art in Düsseldorf . Thomas Wachweger died in February 2015 of complications from cancer.
