Thomas Weiß (poet)

Thomas Weiß (* 1961 in Karlsruhe ) is a German poet and pastor .

Life

He grew up in Rastatt in Central Baden , is married and has two children. Weiß studied Protestant theology in Bielefeld and Heidelberg and then worked in several Baden parishes and as an adult educator in Freiburg with a focus on "literature and culture in an urban context". As part of his studies he already dealt more intensively with poetry. Since 1998 he has published his texts in magazines and anthologies; there are also five volumes of poetry by him. Thomas Weiß is a member of the Society for Contemporary Poetry and a scholarship holder of the Association of German Writers in Baden-Württemberg. Weiß lives and works as a pastor of the Evangelical Luther Church in Baden-Baden / Lichtental and as an adult educator in Baden-Baden.
