Thomas Weigt

Thomas Weigt (born July 16, 1958 in Frankfurt am Main ; † April 2, 2016 there ) was a German journalist and radio host.

Life

After completing an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk in 1979, Thomas Weigt began an internship at RTL Luxembourg on the program “Hallo Nachtarbeiter”. In the 1980s he was best known in the SFB radio program Guten Morgen Berlin . Until the mid-1990s, he worked for various German-speaking radio stations in Germany and abroad. Until the end of his life he ran his own internet radio.

From the mid-1990s he worked as a freelance journalist in London. In 2014 he returned to Frankfurt, where he worked as a freelance journalist until his death.

Thomas Weigt died on April 2, 2016 in Frankfurt as a result of a heart attack . He was buried anonymously.
