Thomas Woitkewitsch (born August 18, 1943 ) is a German screenwriter for television shows, television editor, songwriter and translator.

Thomas Woitkewitsch began his television career at WDR , where he was responsible for Rudi Carrell's shows . With the producer of the show Amlauf Band , Alfred Biolek , he discovered the songwriter Herman van Veen in the Netherlands and hired him for the Carrell show.

Woitkewitsch translated the first texts for Van Veen into German; so began his songwriting career. To this day he is van Veen's German copywriter. For Rudi Carrell he wrote hits like When will it be summer again? . He also produced the German-language episodes of Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus for WDR together with Biolek . At the end of the 1970s he wrote the lyrics to the music of Vangelis and Mikis Theodorakis for Milva .

For many years he worked for the show Wetten, dass ..? advising.

In addition to working on song texts, Woitkewitsch writes the scripts for television shows such as the record kitchen and translates musicals from English into German.

He is one of the supporters and permanent lecturers of the Celle school .
