Thor Helland

Thor Helland ( Thor Oluf Helland; born December 10, 1936 in Sørfold ) is a former Norwegian medium and long-distance runner .

He was eighth over 5000 m at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 , he was eliminated in the preliminary run.

Four times he was Norwegian champion over 10,000 m (1964-1967), three times over 5000 m (1965-1967), twice in cross-country running on the short (1961, 1965) and long distance (1965, 1966) and once over 1500 m (1962).
