Thorsten Logge

Thorsten Logge (* 1974 as Thorsten Gudewitz in Hamburg ) is a German historian .

Life

Logge studied history , political science and psychology at the University of Hamburg from 1999 to 2006 . From 2006 to 2009 he was a scholarship holder at the Graduate College Transnational Media Events .

In October 2010 Logge became a research assistant at the ABK (General Occupational Competencies) area of ​​the History Department of the University of Hamburg . In the 2010/2011 winter semester he was a lecturer in the field of non-European history. Since the summer semester 2017 Logge has been teaching as a professor in the Public History department of the Hamburg University's History Department.

His main research interests are public history, nation, nationalism , collective identities and German-Americana.
