Thorsten Wilhelms

Thorsten Wilhelms (born July 31, 1969 in Liebenau ) is a former German cyclist who worked from 1999 to 2003 as a professional racing driver for the Greese (1999), Nurnberger (2000–2001), Team Coast (2002–2003) and Bianchi ( 2003) drove.

As a successful amateur (he started for RC Charlottenburg in the 1990s), he stopped cycling in order to complete his training as a business economist and to take over his parents' business. In 1999 he started again as a professional.

During his professional career, Wilhelms won 15 stages , seven one-day races or criteria on the road as well as an overall ranking. In 2002 he won the third and fifth stages of the Tour of Qatar and also won the final overall standings. His last race as a professional was a criterion in Gütersloh in 2004 , which he won. Wilhelms also took part in the six-day races in Stuttgart in 2003/2004 and in Dortmund in 2004/2005 .
