The Three Tarns are a group of three closely spaced lakes in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The lakes lie in a north-south row south of Bowfell and north of Crinkle Crag . None of the lakes has a recognizable tributary and they are also not visibly connected to one another. The Buscoe Sike forms the outflow of the middle lake.
