The sculpture Three Triangles , also known as the Outdoor Piece for Bremen , is located in Bremer Neustadt at the northern end of the Teerhof . It is included in the list of monuments and statues of the city of Bremen .

The sculpture made of sand-lime brick on a concrete base was made by the American artist Sol LeWitt . It was built in 1994 after an exhibition with his sculptural works from 1993 in the Weserburg Museum for Modern Art on the Bürgermeister-Smidt-Bridge . It was a gift from the artist to the museum on the occasion of this exhibition. As a permanent work of art, it was made possible by donations from museum friends.

According to the cultural authority, the artist “takes up the distinctive shape of the gable of the museum building and the Schlachte , which also appears in the logo of the Weserburg Museum ”, in his Bremen sculpture .

Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) is one of the internationally best-known representatives of conceptual art ( Conceptual Art ), the u. a. also exhibited several times at the documenta in Kassel. His works are based on the minimalizing constructivism of the Bauhaus , including the work Black Form , which has been on view in Hamburg-Altona since 1989 .
