The Threshold Nunatak (English for threshold Nunatak ) is an isolated Nunatak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain, it rises 8 km northeast of Portal Rock at the confluence of the Tillit Glacier and the Lennox King Glacier .
The name came from the suggestion of geologist John Gunner from Ohio State University , who collected rock samples here during an expedition carried out from 1969 to 1970. It is related to the name of the Portal Rock and its geographical location on the Tillite Glacier.
