Vũ Thu Minh (born September 22, 1977 in Hanoi ) is a Vietnamese singer . Because of her successes and her charisma, she is known as the " Celine Dion of Vietnam". She is also celebrated as the "Queen of Dance " in Vietnam.

Life

Thu Minh began ballet at the age of six and attended a dance school in Ho Chi Minh City . Thu Minh had her first musical victory in the competition "Broadcast of Ho Chi Minh" in 1993: she got the main prize with the song "Bóng cây Kơ-nia" ("The Shadow of the Kapok Tree"). In 2011 she participated in the Vietnamese version of the ABC telecast Dancing with the Stars part and won first place. In 2012 she married the Dutch businessman Otto de Jager, making her one of the richest artists in her country today.
