Thurnreuth is a district of Markt Wegscheid in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau . It is located 6 kilometers west of Wegscheid.

history

The place in the former bishopric of Passau fell with the secularization of 1803 with most of the high bishopric area to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany and only came to Bavaria in 1805. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Thurnreuth with the towns of Hochwinkl, Hochwurz, Kohlstadt, Kohlwies and Thurnreuthermühle was created with the municipal edict of 1818 (broken off). On January 1, 1972 the previously independent communities Kasberg , Meßnerschlag and Möslberg were incorporated into Wegscheid. On July 1, 1972, Eidenberg , Thalberg and Thurnreuth were added. Wildenranna followed on May 1, 1978.
