Kasberg is a district of the Markt Wegscheid in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau .
Geography and transport links
The place is northwest of the core town Wegscheid. The Schinderbach , a right tributary of the Osterbach, flows east of Kasberg .
history
The place in the former bishopric of Passau fell with the secularization of 1803 with most of the high bishopric area to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany and only came to Bavaria in 1805. In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Kasberg with the towns of Froschau, Froschreut, Kasbergerwaid, Lengau, Schabenkasing and Zaunmühle was created with the municipal edict of 1818. On January 1, 1972 the previously independent communities Kasberg, Meßnerschlag and Möslberg were incorporated into Wegscheid. On July 1, 1972, Eidenberg , Thalberg and Thurnreuth were added. Wildenranna followed on May 1, 1978.
