Tiberiu Ghioane (born May 26, 1981 in Brașov ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 167 games in the Romanian League 1 and the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha . In 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2009 he won the Ukrainian championship with Dynamo Kiev .

Career

Ghioane began his career in 1999 with his hometown club FC Brașov , for which he made his league debut on October 2, 1999 against Rapid Bucharest . That same season he moved to Rapid Bucharest. He stayed there for almost two years before joining Dynamo Kiev in 2001 .

In 2005 he suffered cerebral thrombosis , which took him over a year to regain his regular position at Dynamo. He has now won three championships with Kiev and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup with Kiev in 2008/09 . He ended his career in 2011.

National team

Ghioane played eleven games for the Romanian national team from 2001 to 2005 . He played his first game on February 26, 2001 against Ukraine . In June 2009 national coach Răzvan Lucescu brought him back to the national team after four years. He and the team missed qualifying for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. On June 5, 2010, he came against Honduras for his last use.
