Tiefenhülen is a district of the city of Ehingen in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet is about one and a half kilometers north of Frankenhofen .
history
Tiefenhülen was first handed down in 1152 as "Tufenhuluwe". Hüle is a common name in the Swabian Alb for the ponds typical of this region .
Presumably the place was created as a high medieval settlement. The Grange was going on in 1152 by the Lords of Steußlingen to the monastery of Salem , which made him the center of his possessions in the area. Around 1220 the bailiwick had the von Steusslingen family and later probably Württemberg .
1973 Tiefenhülen was incorporated with Frankenhofen zu Ehingen.
