The Thüle zoo and leisure park near Friesoythe ( Lower Saxony ) is an amusement park in northern Germany . After an expansion, the park has an area of ​​17 hectares and is located in the recreation area of ​​the Thülsfeld dam .

The offer is aimed primarily at families with children. Around 120 species of animals from all over the world are shown and various rides and play equipment ensure pastime.

Founding history

The foundation in 1965 goes back to Theodor and Elisabeth Grothaus, who started on their farm in Thüle with a pure hobby of deer, deer, pheasants, peacock birds and wild boars. Over time, the number of wild animals on the farm grew steadily, so the family decided to use an agricultural area away from the farm to house the animals. That was the hour of birth of today's animal and leisure park Thüle.

The zoo
