Tiina Sofia Salmén (born August 3, 1984 ) is a former Finnish soccer player . The defender played for the Finnish national team .
Salmén began her career with the Helsingin Ponnistus club in Helsinki . She later moved to HJK Helsinki and became Finnish champion in 2005 and Finnish cup winner in 2006. In 2007 she was elected Footballer of the Year in Finland. From 2006 to 2010 she was under contract with Amazon Grimstad FK in the Norwegian top series . After a season with league competitor Klepp IL , she ended her career in 2011.
On April 24, 2004, she made her debut in a game against Italy in the Finnish national team. With the Finnish selection, she took part in the European Championships in England in 2005 and reached the semi-finals. By 2010, she played a total of 77 international matches and scored four goals.
