Tiko , full name Roberto Martínez Rípodas (born September 15, 1976 in Pamplona ), is a former Spanish football player .

Tiko began his career on the CA Osasuna teams . Since joining Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 1999, Martinez, who is only called Tiko, quickly established himself in the first team. In the past two seasons, however, he lost his permanent place in the team and mostly only came to partial assignments. In an international match of the Basque selection against Catalonia in autumn 2006 (final score 2-2), he also tore a cruciate ligament that has prevented his comeback so far.

In his ten seasons with Athletic Bilbao, he played almost 200 games in the Spanish premier league , scoring 21 goals. In 2008 he left Bilbao to join SD Eibar , where he ended his career a year later.

Tiko has played one game for the Spanish national team and three for the Basque football team .
