Tilda Thamar
Tilda Thamar (born December 7, 1921 as Matilde Sofia Margarita Abrecht in Urdinarrain , Argentina , † April 12, 1989 in Clermont-en-Argonne , France ) was an Argentine film actress .
Life
Until 1939 she had attended the School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires and then worked as a teacher for design and painting. In 1936 she made her film debut with Don Quijote del Altillo . This was followed by films such as 1944 Die chaste Susanne , 1950 The Smuggler's Ring of Marseille , 1953 the German production . at the side of Ruth Leuwerik , Hardy Krüger and Fita Benkhoff and 1957 The Merciless .
Before she retired into private life in the 1970s, she tried unsuccessfully as a director and producer. Tilda Thamar was married to Alejo Vidal-Quadras until her death. She died in a car accident.
