Till Wyler von Ballmoos (* 1979 in Bern , real name: Till Wyler) is a Swiss theater director and musician .

Life

Till Wyler von Ballmoos attended the Lucerne School of Music from 1999 to 2000 , from which he moved to the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) after a year . In 2004 he completed his music studies with the concert hall diploma for violoncello at the HKB. At the same time, from 2000 to 2002, he attended lectures in the field of performance and theater studies at the University of Bern .

From 2006 to 2011 he studied theater and music theater directing at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich. At the same time, he attended courses in the field of art and media at the Zurich University of Art and Design (ZHdK).

2007 assistant to Dimiter Gotscheff at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.

Till Wyler von Ballmoos is a scholarship holder of the Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral , the Akademie Schloss Solitude , Pro Helvetia and the Inteatro Festival Academy (IFA) in Italy.

Till Wyler von Ballmoos lives works and lives in Germany and Switzerland.

As a young student at the Hochschule für Musik (Basel) , he gave various solo concerts with a professional orchestra and dealt intensively with contemporary music. He played with Urs Peter Schneider, in theater projects with Georges Aperghis , in dance projects with MA'AT (Karima Mansour), at the WIM Festival Bern 2002, in the Schlachthaus Theater in Bern. Till Wyler von Ballmoos attended master classes with Arto Noras, Angela Schwartz, Peter Hörr, Pauline Oliveros (improvisation) and Pierre Favre (percussion). In addition to musical projects, he deals intensively with the forms of art and the implementation of sound and music in installations and performances . With the artist group "5 Freunde" he realized a full-length program every month in PROGR Bern until 2007 .

Awards

  • In 2011, Till Wyler von Ballmoos received the prize for best director at the 29th Bavarian Theater Days .
