Tilman Tögel

Tilman Tögel (* 12. March 1960 in Leipzig , † 24. April 2019 ) was a German politician of the SPD . From 1990 to 2016 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After graduating from polytechnic high school in 1976, he began training as an electrical installer , which he finished in 1979. From 1976 to 1990 he worked at the Uchtspringe Hospital, where he worked in technical management from 1984. In 1985 he made his master's degree and received his Abitur in distance learning (1988 to 1989).

Tögel was married and had two children.

Political party

Tögel joined the Social Democratic Party in the GDR (SDP) in 1989 . From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the SPD state executive. From 1993 to 2006 Tögel was chairman of the SPD local association in Stendal .

MP

Tögel was a member of the state parliament from the first electoral term (1990) until March 2016 and represented the constituency of Stendal. From 1998 to 2016 (except 2006–2011) Tögel was a member of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union . Tögel had been a member of the Stendal district council since June 2009 .
