Tilo von Kulm († 1383 ) was the author of the Middle High German poem Von siben Ingesigeln , which he finished on May 8, 1331 and dedicated to the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, Luther of Braunschweig .

He is equated with a Samland canon documented in 1352 and 1353 .

The poem, based on the stylistic model of Heinrich von Hesler , is based on a Latin Libellus septem sigillorum that has survived only in two (now lost) manuscripts and treats the seven seals of the Apocalypse in an allegorical interpretation . An author-related manuscript was kept in Königsberg until 1945 ; it is now in the Toruń University Library (shelf number: rps 6 / I). In addition to the traditional and was published in 1907 by Karl Kochendörffer . The actual poem is preceded by two short Latin poems, which apparently also come from Tilo. The editor suggested that Tilo hand has corrected the manuscript.
