Tim Florstedt
Tim Florstedt (* 1974 ) is a German legal scholar.
Life
He studied law at the Universities of Münster and Kiel . Since June 2004 he has been a research assistant at the Institute for Law and Finance at the Goethe University Frankfurt and habilitation candidate with Theodor Baums . The in December 2005 was carried out with the work "The silent association" Promotion was from Karsten Schmidt and Marcus Lutter each rated "summa cum laude" and received a Foundation Award. With the habilitation in January 2013 with the text “Law as Symmetry. A contribution to the theory of subjective private law ”, Florstedt was awarded the venia legendi for the areas of“ civil law, commercial and economic law, legal theory ”. In May 2013 he was appointed private lecturer by the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. Since September 2013 he has held the chair for civil law, commercial and economic law and banking law at the EBS University of Economics and Law .
His main research interests are commercial and corporate law, civil law, banking and capital market law, tax law, legal theory and legal philosophy.
