Ulrich Segna

Ulrich Segna (* 1969 ) is a German law scholar and university professor at the EBS University for Economics and Law in Wiesbaden .

Life

Segna studied from 1990 jurisprudence at the University of Osnabrück , where he passed his first state examination 1995th He then briefly held a public law teaching position before taking up a position as a research assistant at Theodor Baums' chair in Osnabrück in 1996 . He worked there until 1999. From 1999 to 2001 he completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Berlin, which he completed in 2001 with the second state examination. In the same year he received his PhD in Osnabrück. iur. From 2002 to 2003 he worked as a consultant at the Association of German Banks . He then entered a junior professorshipwith a focus on German and European corporate law at the University of Frankfurt am Main , during which he worked on his habilitation. He completed this in July 2013 in Frankfurt am Main and received the venia legendi for the subjects civil law, commercial and economic law and comparative law.

Before completing his habilitation, Segna was assistant chercheur at the University of Luxembourg from 2009 to 2014 . From March 2013 he held a teaching position at the University of Liechtenstein . From 2014 to 2015 he held various teaching positions at EBS University Wiesbaden . Since June 2014 he has also worked as a lecturer in the master's degree in “Auditing and Accounting” at the Universities of Bochum and Münster . In the winter semester 2014/15 and the following summer semester, he held a chair at Heidelberg University . Since October 2015 he has held the chair for civil law, commercial and business law, law of non-profit organizations at EBS University Wiesbaden.

Since 1990 he has been a member of the Catholic student union AV Widukind Osnabrück.
