Time Chasers is an American science fiction film directed by David Giancola in 1994.

action

The physics teacher and amateur pilot Nick Miller has finally managed to travel back in time: with the help of his Commodore 64 and a small airplane. He was inspired by an advertisement for GenCorp, and he tricked the GenCorp manager as well as a reporter for a local newspaper. To Nick's surprise, the reporter Lisa Hansen was a girl from his school he was in love with. After traveling into 2041, Gencorp manager Matthew Paul arranges a meeting for Nick with CEO JK Robertson. Impressed by the potential of time travel, Robertson offers Nick a license agreement for the invention.

The next week, Nick and Lisa meet at the grocery store and go on a date in the 1950s. However, another trip to 2041 reveals that GenCorp misused Nick's time travel technology to create a dystopian future. Nick tries to talk to JK about how GenCorp is carelessly destroying the future. JK takes it calmly and says there is enough time to worry about it before it happens. JK sees Nick as a threat to GenCorp, and since it has an association with the U.S. government, Nick's actions are viewed as treason.

Nick and Lisa escape GenCorp and try to reverse the damage in the future. When JK finds out, he and Matt try to shoot down Nick's plane. In doing so, they kill Lisa. Nick manages to jump off the plane before it is destroyed. That eventually ends in a battle in 1777 during the American Revolution. Deaths in the presence of Nick, Lisa, Matt, and Robertson and the destruction of the time machine mean that most of the movie's events never happen. The film ends with old Nick who is now aware of the danger of his time machine and is sabotaging his demonstration.
